How to Create a Google My Business Quick Review Link

Creating a link that you can quickly send to your clients to request a review on your Google My Business page can be incredibly powerful. Even better, Google has gone a step further and made it even easier for your customers to leave a review by allowing you to generate a custom link that will take them directly to the review screen. This reduces the number of clicks or taps it takes the customer to actually leave the review and will help your more technology challenged clients make it through the process.

Here are just a few reasons why you should be using this great functionality that Google offers:

  • Gives your happy customers an easy way to rave about your services.
  • Getting more reviews reduces the impact of potentially negative reviews.
  • Savvy prospects that are researching you want to see positive reviews before using your services or buying your products.

If you’d like to learn more optimizing your Google My Business listing and the power of reviews, Moz has done a superb job explaining it in a blog post here.

How to Create Your Quick Review Link

Google does offer a step-by-step tutorial on how to do this here. However, I’ve found that some of these methods don’t always work. For example, if you’ve just claimed your Google My Business page, you may not be able to find it in their PlaceID Lookup Tool.

To make things easier for you, I’ve created some quick video tutorials on the three methods.

Method 1: In this video, I’ll show you how to create a Google My Business quick review link using the Google Search Method.

Method 2: Create a quick review link using the Google PlaceID Lookup Tool

Method 3: Just in case the other methods didn’t work for you, this advanced method will!

Conclusion

Hopefully, this blog post and the video tutorials have helped you create a super awesome Google My Business quick review link that you can send to your customers. However, before blasting out review requests, I strongly recommend reading Google’s guidelines on this here.
